As a youngster, actress Caitlin Stasey admits she turned into an excited fan at the Logies, but not because she got to meet TV hunks or glam international stars.
"I was beside myself when I met Dr Harry Cooper from Harry's Practice and Don Burke. I used to watch Burke's Backyard with my grandma when I was growing up," Caitlin says. "Oh, and Jamie Durie! My mother has always loved Jamie so it was great to meet him."
The former Neighbours babe, who now stars on Please Like Me, was still in her teens when she first scored a coveted invite to the awards ceremony.
"Walking the Logies red carpet was overwhelming because nobody knew who I was," the now-22-year-old laughs. "I hadn't been on television for very long at the time. Also, I was only 16 and I was wearing this dress that my sister's hairdresser helped me pick out."
In future years, she was used to showbiz and enjoyed herself much more.
"My on-screen little brother Matthew Werkmeister [who played Zeke Kinski on Neighbours] and I went to the Logies as a team. He was always my little brother. We'd go together and have lots of fun speaking to whoever was there. It's a big, fun party."
