May the force be with him.

Woody Harrelson has been cast as an unspecified character in the upcoming Hans Solo origin movie set in the Star Wars universe.

Woody joins Emilia Clarke of Game Of Thrones, who has also signed on for an unspecified role, and Golden Globe-winner Donald Glover, who is set to play Lando Calrissian.

Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller released the following statement about Woody's involvement in the film: "We couldn't be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody," they said. "His ability to find both humour and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong."

Actor Alden Ehrenreich is set to play the lead role of Hans Solo. The film is predicted to hit cinemas in 2018, though an official release date is yet to be confirmed.
