As far as awards shows go, the Grammys are a fabulous style and beauty barometer.
They're not as seriously formal as the Oscars and not as crazy (fashionably speaking) as the MTV awards shows. What fashion and beauty trends the stars sport actually seem to reflect their sense of style - not their stylist's. Here are a few looks we'll be seeing our Logies starlets drawing inspiration from:
THE HAIR
Whether it was an updo or long wavy locks, the key was sleek, styled and smooth.
> Updos
Beyonce opted for a sleek, straight, low middle-parted ponytail, leaving all the attention to her bold red lip and monochrome pantsuit.
Jennifer Lopez rocked the topknot - a tough look to pull off. Perfect skin and amazing cheekbones are a prerequisite for both looks. With such a dramatic look, keep eyes strong and smoky and the lip nude.
Adele was working her signature 60s-esque bouffant; volume is key as is a steady hand for the eyeliner needed to compliment this look.
Taylor Swift combined look of the moment 'bangs' with the milkbraid for the perfect boho-chic look. A braided 'headband' that complimented her Grecian look perfectly.

The ombré hair trend is still rocking the red carpet by the likes of Rihanna. Her gorgeous waves were pure glamour and gave her a classic, romantic look, even with fierce red lip colour.
Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood also sported smoothly styled waves.
A large barrel curling iron is needed to create these soft, styled waves.
Katy Perry left the kooky coloured wigs at home and brought bombshell to the red carpet, drawing inspiration from a 70s Priscilla Presley with her middle-parted, big blowout hair, strong eyes and nude lips (again).
THE FACES
2 Broke Girls star Kat Dennings complimented her beautiful porcelain skin and chocolate brown hair (Luxe Goth) with thick, black, winged eyeliner, deep mulberry lips and matching nails.
Cleopatra-inspired lined eyes were big news. Jennifer Lopez, Kat Dennings, Adele and Katy Perry were the best examples.
For Lopez's look, her hair and makeup artist Mary Phillips revealed 'Start top and bottom lines from the inside of the eyes.
Nude lips were everywhere. Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Kelly Rowland rocked the understated lip look. The trick is choosing the perfect 'nude' that suits your skin tone.
